As said above, in order to set up your BellSouth email account on iPhone, you will need the following BellSouth email settings.
For the configuration of your BellSouth email account on the iPhone, you will generally find two protocols available – IMAP and POP3. While you can use either of them to configure your account, it is usually suggested to use IMAP settings. You can find the information for both email protocols below:

1. Open the applications’ menu on your iPhone and open the Settings app by tapping on its icon. You will be directed to the settings section of your iPhone.
2. Once you are in the settings section of your iPhone, you will need to scroll down and tap on the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars option.

6. On the next screen, you will need to select the IMAP option under Incoming mail server and enter the following details in the relevant fields on your screen.
· Hostname: imap.mail.att.net
· Username: Enter your email address is your username
· Password: Enter your bellsouth.net account password
7. Similarly, you will need to enter the following details in the fields under the Outgoing Mail Server section.
· Hostname: smtp.mail.att.net
· Username: Enter your email address is your username
· Password: Enter your bellsouth.net account password
8. After you are done entering all the information, simply tap on the Save button.
9. Now, you will need to go to the Settings section, select your Bellsouth email account, then the Advanced settings, and enter the following information under Incoming settings on your screen.
· Use SSL: Yes
· Authentication: Password
· Server Port: 993
10. After that, you will need to enter the following details under Outgoing Settings on your screen.
· Use SSL: Yes
· Authentication: Password
· Server Port: 465
Once you will be done following the above-mentioned steps, your BellSouth email account will be configured on your iPhone.
Note: If you have upgraded to the AT&T powered by Yahoo!® homepage recently and you had your email account set up on your device before you upgraded, you will need to follow the instructions provided below to re-create the account using the new settings. Once you are done configuring up the new account, you will need to verify that the new account is functioning properly. After that, you can delete the old one.

1. Go to the application menu on your iPhone and tap on the Settings app icon. You will be directed to the settings section of your iPhone.
2. Once you are in the Settings section, you will need to select the Mail option.
3. Next, you will need to tap on the Accounts option and select the Add Account option. You will be taken to the next screen where you will see the list of email services.
4. From the displayed list, you will need to select the Yahoo! option enter your email address in the provided field, and select the Next button.
