Note: Make sure to logout from MSN and then close all the program before following the instructions provided below:
1. To begin with, you will need to click on the Start option located in the lower-left corner of the screen.
2. Next, you will need to click on the Search option located in the upper right-hand corner
3. Then, in the Search box, you will need to enter the following:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSN
4. After entering it, you will need to press the ENTER key on your keyboard. This will open the MSN folder on your screen.
5. In the MSN folder, you will need to do the following (when you can't find the db30 folder):
· First, you will need to click on the ‘Organize’ option, then select the ‘Folder and Search options’ on the screen and click on the ‘View’ tab
· Next, you will need to select the ‘Show hidden files and folders’ option.
· Then, you will need to deselect the checkbox next to Hide extensions for known file type’ and Hide protected operating system files options option.
· After that, you will need to click on the Apply option and then on the OK option.
· Finally, you will see the db30 folder inside the MSN folder.
Now, you will need to open the db30 folder and then look for files that end as msn-com.sdf and msn-com_JMF.sdf. You will need to right-click on these files and select the Rename option. Then, simply add .old after .sdf to both the files (For example, Msn-com.sdf.old) and exit from the db30 folder.

1. On your Windows XP system, you will first need to go to the Start option and then to the Run option.
2. In the Run field, you will need to enter the following path and click on the OK button.

3. As you will click on the OK button, this will open the MSN folder on your screen.
4. In the MSN folder, you will need to perform the following steps when can't find the db30 folder:
· Go to Tools > Folder options > View tab.
· Next, select the Show hidden files and folders option.
· Then, you will need to deselect the Hide extensions for known file types option.
· After that, simply click on the Apply button and then on the OK button.
· This will make the db30 folder appear inside the MSN folder.
· Now, you will need to open the db30 folder and look for a file that ends as msn-com.sdf and msn-com_JMF.sdf.
